In July of 2016 Action in Community Through Service (ACTS), opened a full satellite office in Manassas to expand services to residents in the western portion of Prince William County. Located at the corner of Grant and Lee Avenues in Old Town, the new office will have multiple offices, group rooms, and a large training room.
Clients can receive convenient individual and group support, as well as clinical services. Clients who are utilizing our court services need only walk across the street to meet with one of our specialists. Individual and group therapeutic support, a children’s program and more will be located right there. This will also serve as the home base for two new Community Educators, who will be available to speak to groups throughout the county, including schools, businesses, religious and other community-based organizations.
Another exciting service to be offered at the new site will be the Behavioral Intervention Program (BIP for short). This sixteen week program is designed for those who are perpetrators of domestic violence or just want to ensure they don’t become one. Research demonstrates that many of these individuals grew up in homes with domestic violence. They did not have role models for healthy relationships or learn appropriate ways to express their anger.
All services are available in both English and Spanish and will be kept confidential. Other than the BIP, all Crisis & Trauma Services are free of charge.
