Do you think your child is being affected by domestic violence?
Children’s Program
The goal of the Children's Program is to improve a child's self-esteem, teach social skills, assist children in learning about appropriately expressing feelings and how to establish healthy relationships. We offer peer educational support groups for children 5 - 17. Group sessions consist of interactive projects, role playing, weekly discussions, expressive art activities, team building exercises, outdoor games and videos to promote a fun learning environment. Does your partner verbally or emotionally abuse you, isolate you from family and friends or physically abuse you?
Women’s Program
This program offers crisis counseling on an individual basis, as well as education support groups that focus on self esteem, healthy relationships, and accountability. Program Coordinators will assist women to safety plan, process the abuse and access appropriate resources. The Women's Program is also responsible for facilitating groups for women who are court ordered to a group. There is a fee for women who are court-ordered to attend group sessions. Crisis counseling is also available to men who are victims of domestic abuse. To access the Women’s Program, call the Turning Points office to schedule an appointment or speak to a counselor at (703) 221-4460 x 220 or 223.

Community Outreach
Turning Points provides presentations and training to community organizations and allied professionals on the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on the community. Individuals in the community wishing to volunteer and play an active role in alleviating and eliminating domestic violence in the Greater Prince William County Area should contact the Outreach Coordinator at (703) 221-4460 ext 225.

Hispanic Women’s Program
This program is designed to meet the needs of non-English speaking Spanish women who are victims of domestic violence. This program focuses on safety planning, building self-esteem, communication, and linking women to other community resources. The Hispanic Women’s Program Coordinator also can provide support and accompaniment to women seeking protective orders through the criminal justice system. Court Advocacy Office
The Court Advocacy Office offers information and assistance to those applying for a protective order and those navigating the court system. The office discusses safety planning and various community resources with the clients. The Court Advocacy Office is located at 9540 Center Street--a few blocks away from the courthouse in Manassas. For more information about filing for a protective order or other domestic abuse-related court matters, call 703-792-4782.

Senior Link is a program of the ACTS Helpline that provides daily or weekly reassurance calls to seniors and homebound adults, scheduled at the recipient’s convenience. This is a free program that offers socialization, companionship and encouragement. Simply call 703-368-4141, ask to sign up for Senior Link and choose the frequency and scheduling of their reassurance calls.

When someone you know or love dies by suicide it can be difficult to recover from the loss. Surviving After Suicide is a support group for people who have lost a loved one to suicide. Call 703-368-4141 to join. They are gone, we remain.
