Programs

Development
This program encompasses Volunteer Opportunities, ACTS Membership, Fundraising, Special Events, and Grant Writing. For special items that you would like to donate that include Collectibles, Art, Time Share or Vacation Properties to the Annual Silent Auction, please call (703) 441-8606.
 

Turning Points
Prince William County's only Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention Program. Services include: Two battered women's shelters, individual counseling, support groups for women and children, batterer’s intervention classes, court advocacy and accompaniment, parenting classes, transitional housing and community awareness presentations and activities.

 
Emergency Assistance
Provides assistance to people in the Community that need emergency assistance with food, clothing, limited financial support, evictions and utility cutoffs. Also maintains a 15 bed temporary shelter for homeless men, women and children providing life-skills training and computer access.
 
HelpLine
The Help Line program is a 24-Hour service for all residents of Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.  This service provides confidentiality, caring listeners who help callers with problem solving and crisis situations.  Contains Teleteen, a teen peer Hot Line, and a Suicide Survivors Group.
 
 
Transitional Housing
This program is an intensive two-year case managed temporary housing program.  Participating families enter into a contract agreement designed to assist them in maintaining a permanent home and developing skills to improve self-sufficiency by focusing on educational, vocational and job skills.
 
 
Thrift Store
Collects and sells good used clothing, furniture, appliances and household items at a reasonable price.  Acts as a clearing house for free items donated to our neighbors in need seeking assistance from our service programs.
